Turns out Luke Burbank on Too Beautiful To Live ( http://tbtl.net/ ) is getting paid, most likely for the rest of his contract from his canceled radio show, but his longtime producer, Jen “Flash” Andrews isn’t getting paid. And they are still doing their show as a podcast five days a week.

Which leads me to ask, should they go the public radio route, and go with a donation model like The Sound of Young America ( http://maximumfun.org/ ).

What do you think. Is the public radio model really viable for podcasting?

I’m not going to kid you, this next bit is totally NSFW, but this is podcasting we are talking about, not a medium that has to conform to the FCC standards for language.

The last five or six minutes of the Stack of Dimes ( http://www.stackofdimes.com/ ) podcast has some interesting discussion with Luke Burbank about his canceled radio show, Too Beautiful To Live, that currently lives on as a podcast ( http://tbtl.net/ ). Luke talks about some of the things that he doesn’t miss about radio, and there is some discussion about pdocasting in general:

Stack of Dimes is a lot of fun, and one of the better sounding shows out there. For not being a “pro” podcast, their quality is amazing. It’s NSFW, but worth a listen if you don’t mind the language.
